The conference SPORTS PSYCHOLOGY IN PRACTICE 2016 takes place in the university campus of the Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic

Please follow the conference signs. Parking is possible at the shopping centre Kampus Square, directly opposite the conference building or on a paid parking area (a fee of only 20 CZK for parking unlimited) behind the building of the Faculty of Sports Studies (grey building opposite the roundabout).
Travelling by plane
We recommend to arrive at Prague or Vienna International airport and then use Student Agency coaches for transportation to Brno (http://www.studentagency.eu/)
Travelling by train
Brno is an important stop on the Prague–Vienna and Prague–Bratislava–Budapest railway line. All IC and EC trains stop here.
Brno Main Station (czech Brno hlavní nádraží) is located close to the city center. Almost all attractions are just within a few minutes walk. In front of the main station there is a main tram junction. You can get anywhere in Brno from there. To get to the conference venue in the University campus, take trolleybus no.25 or bus no.60.
Travelling by coach
There are coach services from various European destinations including Prague where frequent buses run touting assorted amenities and stops (such as Prague Airport). There are two main coach stations:
- Coach station at Grand Hotel(czech: AN u Grand hotelu) is located in the city center.
- all Student Agency coaches (recommended transport from Prague and Vienna airports) stop here.
- to get to the conference venue, take tram no.1 direction "Bystrc" and get off at "Mendlovo náměstí" stop. From there, take trolleybus no.25 and get off at "Univerzitní kampus" stop.
- Coach station Zvonařka(czech: ÚAN Zvonařka) is located close to city center.
- many international coaches terminate here.
- to get to the conference venue, walk to the main train station, take tram no.1 direction "Bystrc" and get off at "Mendlovo náměstí" stop. From there, take trolleybus no.25 and get off at "Univerzitní kampus" stop.
Travelling by car
Use highways or any of the national roads. For the highway you have to buy a vignette. The vignette can be purchased at any petrol station. The shortest one is a 10-day for 310 CZK for vehicles with total weight under 3.5 tonnes. Motorbikes are free of charge.

- D1 Prague - Brno (E50): drive when coming form Germany via Prague. Use Exit 190 "Brno Západ".
- D1 Ostrava - Brno (E50): drive when coming form Poland. Use Exit 203 "Brno Východ".
- D2 Bratislava - Brno (E65): drive when coming from Slovakia. The Highway terminates in Brno.
- E461 Vienna - Brno: terminates in Brno.

City sightseeing
- Tugendhat Villa is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Designed by Mies van der Rohe, it is seen to be a classic example of Bauhaus architecture.The building reopened in March 2012 after an extensive restoration. It is possible to visit the Villa by guided tour in English, German and French; tours are led hourly and must be booked in advance.
- Freedom Square (Náměstí Svobody) the heart of the city. It's shaped into big reversed "A". Many cultural events take place here and there are always a lot of people here.
- Špilberk Castle (Hrad Špilberk) is the major royal castle in Moravia, a fortress used as one of the most feared prisons in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Beautiful view on the city panorama, museums of Czech history.
- Petrov Cathedral (Katedrála sv. Petra a Pavla) forms a dominant silhouette of Brno skyline. Petrov is the name of the hill which the cathedral is built upon, not the cathedral itself. A Norman church was originally on this site, it was re-built in the Gothic style in the 14th century.
Surroundings
- Austerlitz, the Battle of the Three Emperors, one of Napoleon’s greatest victories. Slavkov castle, a Baroque pearl of Moravia represents the period of Napoleon,s ages. On the place where decision about the Napoleon's victory in the Battle of the Three Emperors was made, was built a Peace Monument (Mohyla míru) as the commemoration to the dead.
- Moravian Karst (Moravský kras) is the largest and the most important karst area in the Czech Republic. It is also one of the purest areas with beautiful nature, historic buildings and vast complex of caves.
- Lednice - Valtice Cultural Landscape (Lednicko-valtický areál) is the largest cultural-natural complex in the world and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tourist attractions are, for example, the Lednice Castle and its large landscape park full of surprises, Minaret, Salety – romantic follies, and Valtice Castle. It is also famous wine area.
